Website uptime and SSL monitoring

Monitor a public website without installing an agent or changing its code.

1. Add a website

Open Uptime & SSL in the application dashboard, select Add Website, enter a descriptive name, and provide a public HTTP or HTTPS URL.

2. Wait for the scheduled check

The checker records the final HTTP status, response time, redirect destination, and HTTPS certificate expiry. Free plans check every 10 minutes; paid plans check every 5 minutes.

3. Failure confirmation

A single failed request marks the website as degraded. CronShieldLabs sends a downtime alert only after two consecutive failures, reducing alerts caused by brief network interruptions.

4. Recovery and SSL alerts

After a confirmed outage, the next successful check sends a recovery email. HTTPS monitors also send an alert when a certificate has approximately 30 days or less remaining.
