Domain expiry and DNS monitoring

Protect registered domains from missed renewals and unexpected DNS changes.

1. Add a domain

Open Domain Health in the application dashboard, select Add Domain, and enter a registered domain such as example.com.

2. Automatic daily checks

The existing monitoring checker retrieves the registry expiry date, registrar, nameservers, and normalized A, AAAA, MX, NS, and CNAME records every 24 hours.

3. Expiry alerts

CronShieldLabs sends renewal reminders at approximately 30, 14, 7, and 1 day before expiry. Registry data availability varies by top-level domain.

4. DNS changes

After the first baseline snapshot, a changed DNS record set triggers an email and is recorded in check history. Review expected changes after DNS or email-provider migrations.
